Daniel Rodgers, LPC MA MBA DBT ACT EMDR CHT CCTP ½

 

Dan Rodgers, the Executive Director of the Center City Philadelphia office at High Focus Centers, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 17 years of experience in behavioral healthcare. He holds master's degrees in Music Industry, Business Administration, and Professional Counseling. Dan is certified in various therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Ericksonian Hypnosis. He is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist Level 1 and 2. In addition to his clinical expertise, Dan serves as a clinical supervisor and is qualified to provide training in First Aid, CPR/AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), and de-escalation techniques, bringing a comprehensive approach to his leadership role in behavioral healthcare.

Overview of Training: 

 

This 2-CEU session provides an overview of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, designed to equip mental health professionals with the foundational knowledge needed to integrate DBT techniques into their practice. The session will explore the core DBT skill modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Participants will learn how these skills promote emotional resilience, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and improve clients’ ability to navigate life’s challenges. Through case examples and interactive discussions, attendees will gain practical strategies for teaching DBT skills and tailoring them to diverse populations, fostering greater therapeutic outcomes. This session is ideal for clinicians seeking to enhance their understanding of DBT’s evidence-based approach to managing intense emotions and building life skills.
