Title of presentation: Eating Disorders: What You Need to Know
Goals/Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to identify warning signs, red flags, body image and medical complications.
2. Participants will understand the levels of care and when to refer to treatment.
3. Participants will understand what to do/not to do/say and what to do when an employee returns to work after treatment.

Tamie Gangloff MA, MFT
Tamie is an MFT and National Business Development Representative for Healing at Hidden River. She is an adjunct professor at West Chester University teaching Eating Disorder Psychology to graduate and undergraduate students.
She completed her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University in Santa Barbara and has worked at all levels of care for eating disorders and substance abuse. She is an advocate with the Eating Disorders Coalition, the Founding President of the Southwest Philly IAEDP chapter, and a group leader for The National Alliance for Eating Disorders. She is on the Advisory Board for Sea Waves as well as an Education Committee Board Member for the Body Positive Fitness Alliance. Tamie is the Advisor for Medical Trauma for Root to Branch and a member of the International Society on Scoliosis Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Treatment.

Eating Disorders: What you need to know
· We will review statistics, diagnostic criteria, warning signs, red flags, body image and medical complications.
· Review of levels of care and when to refer.
· We will review treatment philosophies and modalities as well as meal support and treatment components/treatment team.
· What to do/not to do/say and what to do when an employee returns to work after treatment.
· Review of intuitive eating principles and intuitive eating activity
· Review of eating disorder resources (IAEDP, National Alliance for Eating Disorders, etc)
· What to do when an employee has an eating disorder
· What to do/not do when an employee receives treatment/returns to work
